Etimologia

Il nome deriva dal mwdwgreco mweamweqνέος, mwegnèos, che significa mwewnuovo, recente, qui anteposto come prefisso, e dal genere mwfamwfqBrettus mwfgmwfwThorell, 1895, con il quale condivide varie caratteristiche.

Distribuzione

Le cinque specie oggi note di questo genere sono state rinvenute in mwggAsia sudorientale: due specie sono mwgwendemiche del mwhaBorneo; una lo è delle mwhqFilippine e una del mwhgVietnamcite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1].
